Usage and processing of personal data

Personal data is collected to maintain and develop the relationship with our customers of our webshop (e.g. communication and marketing of our products). Customers may prohibit the use and processing of their personal data for direct marketing purpose at any time.

Data collection

The following data may be collected: Name of the customer, address, gender, e-mail address, mother tongue, whether or not the customer allows the usage of their data for direct marketing purposes, data about purchases and deliveries, used discounts and user name and passwords.

Data disclosure

Customer data is not shared with third parties with the exception of those needed by our partners to allow delivery of products (address, phone number). In addition, public authorities may request user data in accordance with the applicable laws.

Data collection and data deletion

All data is saved for as long as the customer relationship with Finnflavours exists. Data regarding orders, billing and payments are retained for bookkeeping purposes. All other data is deleted. Should a customer be interested in ending their customer relationship with Finnflavours by deleting their user account, an informal request via e-mail is sufficient.


Finnflavours uses cookies. Cookies are saved on the user's computer and are used to monitor user traffic and helps us improve our services and website. The duration of cookies is limited and they do not cause any harm to computers. Finnflavours uses Google Inc.'s tool Google Analytics and Facebook Inc.'s tool Pixel to monitor site traffic. Data protection

The collected data is confidential and is protected from use and abuse by third parties. The data may only be accessed by our personnel who require access to perform their tasks. Those with access are subject to non-disclose agreements and accessing the data requires personal user IDs and passwords. Data is only available digitally.

Right to check

Every customer has the right to request insight into the data collected about him or her in accordance with the Personal Data Act and the General Data Protection Regulation. Customers with a user account may login to review all data stored about them. Customers without a user account may request such information with an informal request via e-mail. Our contact person will assist customers with any further questions regarding such requests.

Updating personal data

Customers may update personal information such as name, shipping address or e-mail at any time in their user account. Furthermore, customers may contact our contact person (see above) in order to get their personal data updated. The user account can be created before and during a purchase and is recommended for frequent customers.


Customers have the right to prohibit the use of their personal data for direct marketing purposes. An informal e-mail stating the intent to prohibit the use of personal data must be send to the aforementioned contact person.
